Program Entry Requirements

Enrolling students must complete and pass a criminal background check. Entrance requirements at the Rasmussen College School of Health Sciences vary depending on the program. We do not require enrolling students to submit standardized test scores; however, every entrant must have at least a high school diploma or the equivalent.

RN to BSN Expected Program Outcomes*

  1. As contributors to a global community, 90% of the Program graduates will remain employed as a Registered Nurse or advance their career within the Scope of the BSN Generalist Role, as measured within one year of graduation.
  2. In support of lifelong learning, the Program graduates will be prepared to further their education in the fields of Nursing or Health Care.
  3. In support of service to students, 85% of the Program graduates will indicate that the Program fulfilled their expectations and that they would recommend the Program to others.

Understanding SSL Certificate Authentication & Validation

When a user visits your secure site, your web server will send a copy of your SSL certificate to the user’s web browser. The information in the certificate will always include your web site’s domain name, such as www.yourdomain.com, and sometimes it will also include your company’s information. This lets the browser know that the web site it’s connecting to is really the correct web site, and not an impostor or phishing site.

There are two types of SSL certificate authentication: Organization Validated (OV) and Domain Validated (DV).

Organization Validated (OV) SSL Certificates

An organization validated SSL certificate, such as True BusinessID EV and Wildcard SSL, will contain information about your domain name and the legal name of your business or organization. It will also contain the geographical location information for the city, state, and country where your business is registered to do business. Let’s say you’re visiting a secure web site that has a organization validated SSL certificate installed.

Following that are the Locality (city), State, and Country fields where you business is registered with your local or state government to do business.

Having this information available to you will help you determine who you’re doing business with. It will also let you know that the site you think you’re on is really that site and not some bogus phishing site trying to trick you.

The information on the business’ legal name and location is part of a organization validated SSL certificate. An issuing Certification Authority (CA) will verify that the company or organization listed in the certificate is legally registered with local or state agencies via local business license or state Articles of Incorporation. When the CA issues the SSL certificate, it has vouched for the business entity and its registered domain. This type of certificate can be applied for and issued in about one to two days.

Domain-Validated (DV) SSL Certificates

A domain-validated certificate, such as QuickSSL and QuickSSL Premium, will vouch for your domain only. It will not include any information about your company nor its location (except for the two-letter country code). If you were to bring up the SSL certificate Subject details you’d see something like the window below. Because your SSL certificate is not vetted at the company level you will not see information in the certificate for the company or its location. The upside is that because the Certification Authority is not vouching for your company in a domain-validated certificate, you do not have to provide any supporting business documents. This type of certificate can be applied for and issued, in most cases, in about 10 minutes.

Forensic nursing certificate programs are usually offered at the professional or graduate level and are typically open to licensed registered nurses who hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing. However, undergraduate certificate programs may be open to licensed RNs who hold an associate’s degree, and there are a few programs designed for advanced practice nurses. Rarely, other medical professionals, like licensed practical nurses or paramedics, may also be eligible for certain forensic nursing certificate programs.

Several online and hybrid programs are available and may be available in several specialty areas. The majority of the curriculum can be completed online, although students may need to attend campus or a medical facility to complete clinical training in working at crime scenes to gather evidence or examining victims of sexual assault. Forensic Nursing Certificate

Emergency and Trauma

The medical objective to provide appropriate medical care to a victim must be balanced with the forensic objective of preserving evidence. Techniques to accomplish both with the least compromise are discussed. Also discussed are triage and care during disasters.

Interpersonal Violence

Interpersonal violence includes sexual assault and battery, abuse and neglect, human trafficking, spousal abuse and religious abuse. Other topics include the forensic processing of bite marks, blunt trauma, sharp injuries and gun wounds.

Career Information

Forensic nurses require an active RN license to practice. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) does not track separate data for forensic nurses, but states a projected job growth for all RNs to be 16% from 2014-2024 (www.bls.gov ). The median annual salary for RNs in 2015 was $67,490.

Most forensic nurses work for acute care medical facilities, law enforcement, legal services, social services, coroners and in nursing schools. Some are self-employed as independent consultants and expert witnesses.

Certification Information

The International Association of Forensic Nurses (www.iafn.org ) offers exam-based certification credentials as Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, either for adults and adolescents (SANE-A) or for pediatric and adolescent populations (SANE-P). Other certification agencies for forensic nurses include the Correctional Health Professional from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and the Legal Nurse Consultant from the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.

RNs interested in applying their trade to help solve crimes will want to pursue an undergraduate or graduate certificate in forensic nursing. Online courses offered in these programs teach RNs about evidence collection, court testimonies, trauma care and other topics related to medicine and forensics.

If you know ahead of time that you will be moving from Missouri to another state, we recommend that you check with the Department of Education in that state prior to enrollment in any of our programs to make sure that this certification will transfer from Missouri to your state.     3 ways to get the VA Certificate of Eligibility in 2015

    We can obtain a VA Certificate of Eligibility for you by using the ACE (Automated Certificate of Eligibility) or Web LGY system. This is a web-based application that allows us to input data about you and obtain an eligibility determination quickly. If eligibility is established, we print out the VA Certificate of Eligibility to submit with the guaranty package.

    VA Certificate of Eligibility 2015 Guidelines

    If you were separated after January 1, 1950, the appropriate documentation of your military service would be DD Form-214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty. If you were discharged after October 1, 1979, DD Form 214, copy 4 would be appropriate. A photocopy of DD Form-214 will suffice. Do not submit an original document.

    If you served in the Selected Reserve you must provide documentation sufficient to establish that you served a minimum of 6 years with points earned for weekend drills or active duty for training and received an honorable discharge. Since there is no uniform document similar to DD Form-214 for proof of service in the Selected Reserve, a number of different forms may be accepted.

    If you are on regular active duty and have not been previously discharged from active duty service, you must submit a statement of service which includes the name of the issuing authority (base or command), and is signed by or at the direction of an appropriate official. The statement must identify you (SSN), and provide your date of entry on active duty and the duration at any time lost. If you remain on active Selected Reserve duty, the statement of service should be from your unit CO and should cite the length of time you have served with the reserve unit.

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is about creating and providing a purposeful environment that allows children with autism to learn.     Penn State Offers Applied Behavior Analysis Graduate Study and Practicum

    This 18-credit, five-course sequence is designed for people who seek advanced knowledge in the field of applied behavior analysis. The curriculum is intended to prepare you to sit for the fourth edition of the BCBA certification examination sponsored by the BACB.

    The program consists of five online courses plus one face-to-face course. This is a weeklong seminar held every August at Penn State University Park in conjunction with the National Autism Conference.

    Practicum Option Available to Students of the Program

    In addition to the applied behavior analysis graduate certificate, Penn State also offers an optional applied behavior analysis practicum to help you gain experience and meet the requirements to sit for the BACB’s certification exam.     Act 48 Approved

    Penn State is an Act 48-approved provider for Pennsylvania educators, so the courses for the program in applied behavior analysis may count toward professional development hours.

    Who Should Apply?

However, anyone with an interest in learning about interventions to produce lasting change in behavior will find this program to be extremely useful.

    For Oklahomans who have had their driver s license revoked or suspended, care has been taken to assure that you will be properly assessed in order to provide the most meaningful level of intervention for your individualized situation.

    Once your assessment has been completed, a referral will be made to the appropriate intervention. The referral environment is an opportunity to review your current (and past) drinking and/or drug using behaviors, relating to your driving privilege. This allows you to decide if there are problems and determine any corrections that may need to be made. Levels of intervention range on a continuum from a 10 hour DUI school (called an ADSAC course) and Victims Impact Panel to Residential Treatment, including aftercare.

    For those offenders receiving an alcohol or drug related license revocation on or before June 30, 2003 you must complete an ADSAC assessment and contact DPS to determine what recommendations you must follow.

    • If you have attended an alcohol and drug treatment program from an agency CERTIFIED BY ODMHSAS and want to submit treatment for consideration, please download the ADSAC cover form on this web site and either mail or fax it to the address listed with a copy of your completion certificate.
    • We strongly encourage you to not drop the form and certificates in person as we cannot guarantee that someone will be available to meet with you. If there is a need to discuss the information in person, an appointment can be made with Tammy Anderson, by calling (405) 248-9027.
    • Your certificate must state the length of time of the program and level of intensity of your program, examples: 10-hour school; outpatient counseling; residential treatment. If this information is not on the certificate, you must get a letter stating this information and attach it to the certificate.

    For those offenders receiving an alcohol and drug related license revocation on or after July 1, 2003, you must obtain an ADSAC assessment and complete all recommendations identified by the assessment that are required for license reinstatement.

    Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) works in close connection with Department of Public Safety (DPS) to implement and set forth standards and criteria, contained in DPS statute: Title 47 Chapter 6-212.2, for persons needing alcohol and drug assessments and evaluation related to driver s license revocation or suspension. ODMHSAS administrative rules are contained in Title 450 Chapter 22, Certification of Alcohol and Drug Assessment and Evaluations Related to Driver s License Revocation, effective September 1, 2016 and Title 450, Chapter 21, Certification of Alcohol and Drug Substance Abuse Courses (ADSAC), Organizations and Instructors, effective September 1, 2016.

    Mortgage Broker Training provides courses to get you started as an Australian finance or mortgage broker. The main industry requirement to become a mortgage broker or credit adviser is a FNS40815 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. Even experienced brokers are now required to have the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking under ASIC requirements for licencing, MFAA guidelines. FBAA guidelines and to become accredited with lenders.

    The Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking enables you to become accredited with lenders and the industry associations – the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia, MFAA and the Finance Brokers Association of Australia – FBAA. The Certificate IV will also meet the educational standard of the National Consumer Credit Protection Act – NCCP (Federal licencing requirements).

    The MFAA also require current members to hold a Diploma in Financial Services (Mortgage Management) and new entrants to either currently hold the Diploma or be enrolled to complete the Diploma.

    The courses offered are all nationally recognised within the Australian Mortgage Finance Industry by Broker Groups, Industry Associations and Australian Lending Institutions.

    This is the starting point for your career as an Accredited Mortgage Broker or Credit Advisor.

    If you are wanting to enter the industry, some Broker Groups and franchises will offer training courses, however you need to commit to them prior to the training, often paying large franchise fees before you can join or really understand the industry. Learning about the industry and achieving industry and government recognised qualifications gives you the knowledge prior to committing to a group or paying franchise fees. By completing one of these courses you obtain the educational requirements and knowledge of the mortgage industry first. Then with an understanding of the industry you can choose where you want to start in the mortgage industry. – Whether with a franchise, a mortgage group or independently.

    So how do you become a mortgage broker?

    The industry associations requirements to become a broker include completion of a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking – (FNS40815) and under MFAA requirements, from the 31st of January 2013, all current members will require the Diploma to stay compliant with guidelines – New members require the certificate IV and to obtain the diploma within a year of joining. The National Consumer Credit Protection Act RG206 implemented during 2010 also has the Certificate IV as a key educational requirement.

    On completion of this course, not only will you gain the required educational standard but gain meaningful hands on experience. All our trainers have had years of real experience in the mortgage industry. You also have the ability to apply to the MFAA as an Accredited Mortgage Broker (AMC) or FBAA provided you meet their other requirements.

Courses like Law Office Technology: Cyberspace and the Paralegal Profession, Family Law, and Legal Research are only a few of the interesting course offerings the Rasmussen College takes pride in. Estimated yearly tuition for an Associate degree program is $28,106.

    Suffolk University offers a post-baccalaureate program that can be completed in as little as nine months. Estimated annual tuition for the program for the academic year 2015-2016 is $33,934.

    Compared to other entries, online paralegal schools offer the most convenience and flexibility. Penn Foster College offers an all-online Associate degree for paralegal studies. The course includes in-depth study aids and other helpful learning materials. Currently, the cost of a paralegal certificate from Penn Foster is $1446 per semester on installment or $980 if made in one payment.

    If all else fails, you can always try checking out your local community college. Most of the time, they offer courses at the fraction of the cost of a paralegal certificate being offered by proprietary colleges.

    Another advantage is that most paralegal programs in community colleges have ABA accreditation which not all proprietary colleges have.

    In general, pursuing a career in the paralegal profession entails a certain degree of financial and personal commitment. The ones mentioned above are but a few suggestions.     This comprehensive CNC program has been designed to prepare the participant for many careers in the manufacturing industry and machine shop environment.     Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)

    Conestoga recognizes prior learning of skills, knowledge or competencies that have been acquired through employment, formal and informal education, non-formal learning or other life experiences. Prior learning must be measurable at the required academic level and meet Conestoga standards of achievement for current courses. Challenge exams and portfolio development are the primary methods of assessment. Other methods of assessment may be available depending upon the nature of the course objectives. Successful completion of the assessment results in an official course credit that will be recorded on the student s Conestoga transcript. PLAR cannot be used by registered Conestoga students for the clearance of academic deficiencies, to improve grades or to obtain admission into a program.

    Installing an SSL Certificate in F5 BIG-IP Loadbalancer

    After your certificate request is approved, you can download your SSL and intermediate certificate from within the SSL application. For more information see Downloading Your SSL Certificate. Both of these files must be installed on your Web server.

    You may also download the intermediate certificate from the repository .

    When downloading your certificate, select Apache as your server type.

    To Install SSL Certificates

    1. Launch the F5 BIG-IP Web GUI.
    2. Under Local Traffic. select SSL certificates .
    3. Select the name you assigned to the certificate under General Properties .
    4. Browse to the your_domain_name.crt file that you received from us.
    5. Click Open and then Import .

    Enabling Your Intermediate Certificate Using BIG-IP Loadbalancer v.9

    1. In the Web GUI, select Local Traffic. then SSL certificates. and then Import .
    2. Under Import Type. select Certificate. and then Create New .
    3. Enter “GoDaddy” as your certificate name.
    4. Browse to the gd _bundle.crt file that you received from us, click Open. and then click Import .

    To Enable Your SSL

    1. Create or open the SSL Profile for the certificate.
    2. Under Configuration. select Advanced .
    3. Select the SSL certificate (public/private key pair) that you installed at the beginning of these instructions.
    4. Under the Chain. browse to the “GoDaddy” _bundle.crt) file that you imported in the previous step, then Save and Exit the configuration.

    Using Your SSL Using an Earlier Version of BIG-IP Loadbalancer

    1. Inside of your SSL account, download the primary (your_domain_name.crt) and intermediates bundle ( gd_bundle.crt ) certificate files.
    2. Move your primary and intermediate certificates to the BIG-IP device. This can be done via FTP.
    3. Rename your primary certificate from your_domain_name.crt to your.domain.name.crt and copy it to the /config/bigconfig/ssl.crt/ folder.
    4. Copy the intermediates bundle (gd_bundle.crt ) to the /config/bigconfig/ssl.crt/ folder.
    5. Restart the proxy using these commands:

    If your policy renews automatically you don’t need to do anything. We will automatically renew your policy and any add-ons you have previously selected. If you do not want to renew your policy or any of your details have changed we need you to contact us before your renewal date. If you are not the card or account holder you must ensure that the card/account holder has agreed to make the renewal payment and they are aware of any changes to the amount.

    We often get asked What is the “Beetle Certificate Cost ” or “What does an Electrical Compliance Certificate Cost “? We can only tell you upfront what the Inspections will cost, only once we have completed the inspections will we be in a position to inform you of the costs of any rectifications that may be required in order to make the relevant installations compliant. Should NO rectifications be required we will issue you with that certificate at no further cost over and above the Inspection Fee. In the event that further rectifications are required we will issue you with a detailed report and a quote to carry out said rectifications, only upon acceptance of this quotation will we commence with the necessary rectifications after which we will issue you with the relevant Compliance Certificates.
    We do offer some options below for the settlement of Inspection Fees depending on how many inspections you require and whether you will be settling immediately or on registration of the property transfer. Read More on our Terms and Conditions .

    As a student in this program, you will participate in practicums (supervised clinical experiences) where you will provide direct support services to individuals using interpersonal communication, interviewing, observation, problem solving, case management, and documentation skills in accordance with the human service philosophy. Practicum experiences allow you to experience the human services profession first-hand, and give you the opportunity to grow as a person and a professional.

    Radiation Therapy

    The Radiation Therapy program is an online program which is administered through the School of Applied Studies, Department of Allied Health. The program curriculum at Washburn is an accredited, 13 month certificate of completion program. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Classes begin in late June or early July and finish the following July. The program consists of 40 credit hours of required related courses and clinical education.

    Students will complete didactic courses online and participate in clinical education at a Washburn affiliated radiation therapy center. In the fall and spring semesters didactic courses include weekly synchronous (live), virtual meetings each Monday. Attendance is required. Monday virtual meeting range is from 9:00am – 4:30pm CST. Clinical consists of unpaid experience. In the fall and spring semesters clinical hours are Tuesday-Thursday (8am-4pm) and Friday (8am-12pm). The winter intersession consists of approximately three weeks in December and January in which student’s complete clinical hours Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm. In the summer semester, clinical is scheduled Monday-Thursday (8am-4pm) and Friday (8am-12pm). NOTE : Some didactic courses include a clinical experience as part of a project, report or presentation. To fulfill these experiences students may have to alter their clinical hours slightly.

    An applicant must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, possess a minimum of an Associate Degree from an institution that is accredited by an acceptable accrediting body according to the ARRT, and hold the professional. designation of RT(R). Specific coursework evaluated in the application review process includes: human anatomy and physiology, mathematics (math course description should include content such as real number systems, algebra of sets, exponents, equations and inequalities, polynomial functions, graphing, radical expressions, operations, inverses of function, equations of lines and systems of linear equations, logarithmic and trigonometric functions), written communication (composition), verbal communication (communication or public speaking course), and radiation physics from radiology program (titles of physics course in radiology programs vary).

    Students who have not yet met these requirements, but are in the process of doing so may also be considered for admittance; however, acceptance will be contingent on meeting all admission requirements prior to the program’s start date.

    Rewards Checking. The Rewards Checking account is a Tiered Rate account (see chart below). If your Daily Balance is $20,000.00 or below AND you meet all of the basic service requirements during the calendar month, the applicable Tier 1 Dividend Rate and Annual Percentage Yield listed for this account in the Rate Schedule will apply, for levels A and B; if your Daily Balance is $10,0000.00 and below AND you meet all of the basic service requirements during the calender month, the applicable Tier 1 Dividend Rate and Annual Percentage Yield listed for this account in the Rates Schedule will apply for Level C. The basic service requirements include: a) you make twelve (12) PINless card transactions (any transaction that does not require a PIN) that post to and clear your Reward Checking account; b) you access Online Banking at least once; c) you receive e-Documents (must have enrolled and accepted the disclosure; and d) you have a direct deposit or ACH debit (including Bill Payment) post to and clear your Reward Checking account. You will earn the Tier 1-A Dividend Rate and Annual Percentage Rate on balances of $20,000.00 or less if you meet the basic service requirements and have $1,000 in credit card purchase transactions during the period beginning on the 28th day of the prior calendar month and ending on the 27th day of the current calendar month. You will earn the Tier 1-B Dividend Rate and Annual Percentage Rate on balances of $20,000.00 or less if you meet the basic service requirements and have 12 credit card purchase transactions during the period beginning on the 28th day of the prior calendar month and ending on the 27th day of the current calendar month.     One Rewards Checking account is allowed per Member. Business accounts are not eligible for rewards. Qualifying credit card transactions must be made using a Consumers Credit Union-issued card. Credit Card cash advances and balance transfers do not count towards credit card purchases.
