CSTC is the California Affiliated State Organization of the National Society of Accountants

The National Society of Accountants (NSA) and its state affiliates represent independent practitioners who provide accounting, tax, auditing, financial and estate planning, and management services to 19 million individuals and businesses. Most members are sole practitioners or partners in small- to medium-size accounting firms.

NSA provides constructive feedback on laws and regulations at the federal and state level, working closely with the Internal Revenue Service on a range of issues. NSA state affiliates across the nation constitute a powerful professional network to reach state policymakers nationwide.

As a CTEC, IRS and CPA approved provider, CSTC educational programming is offered through local chapter meetings, live seminars and online course offerings, making CSTC an essential resource for CPAs, Enrolled Agents, California Registered Tax Preparers, bookkeepers and more.

Whether you are entering the tax profession or a highly experienced tax practitioner, we are here to meet your professional needs. We have multiple opportunities available for you right now!

Improving the tax industry, one professional at a time

CSTC has been serving the needs of tax professionals since 1966 and is one of the few organizations that welcomes all tax professionals as members. Our mission is to advance professionalism within the tax industry and we do so by focusing on three core objectives:

  • Providing quality education
  • Creating networking opportunities
  • Advocating professional standards

Our goal is for all tax professionals to thrive in the industry.

The Power of Information Sharing

CSTC members care enough to share, making a membership an invaluable investment. This sharing attitude means the answer to a complex situation is often just a phone call or email away to another member. A benefit available exclusively to members, CSTC’s online member directory allows you to search for members by area of expertise, a particular region, or by name. It is assuring to know that CSTC and its members are there for you.
